All dogs can be good with kids if they're raised properly, but there are some breeds that are specifically better with kids.

Generally, larger breeds tend to be better with kids mainly because they're tougher and you don't really have to worry about them being squeezed or stepped on.

Another factor is how easy it is to train the breed so you won't have to worry about unruly kids and a crazy dog.

And the fan pet of the day is… Rygel!

TeddyHilton.com reader, Kendall, sent us pictures of Rygel, who was rescued from a shelter.

Rygel was originally supposed to be a "no more than 20lb" beagle mix, but has now grown into a 70lb, tall, lanky Hound/German Shepherd mix.

Other than being a "spaz" Rygel loves posing for photos, stealing the bed and making his parents laugh.

So CUTE!!
