On Tuesday, Bella Thorne posted the (above) selfie of her wearing a "faux fur" coat.
Making sure animal rights groups didn't attack her, she added the following caption:
"When you're a tomboy and trade in sweats and kicks for boots and fur. (Dear internet Trolls, it's faux fur…)"
The only problem? The jacket was actually made of fur!
Miz Thorne was wearing the Tierra Striped Fur Jacket designed by alice + olivia, which retails for $1700.
According to websites for Bloomingdale's and Harrods, the item contains genuine rabbit and arctic fox fur from China!
Once word got out, the 18-year-old's rep said the thespian got the jacket from a photo shoot where she was "told it was faux fur."
Now that Bella knows the truth, she says she will never wear it again.
