Wow! We guess he's taking the Gwyneth Paltrow route!
Jeff Bridges showed off some pretty serious musical talent when he won a best actor Oscar for his role as a country singer in the 2009 film Crazy Heart, and now, he's once again collaborating with the film's songwriter T-Bone Burnett, only this time for a real album, due out this summer!
Nice! We LOVED the music in that film, so we're glad that if this departure into an actual music career is happening, that it's going to be in the same vein!
Looking forward to hearing this one! How about U?

Check out the video (above) of James Franco talking about his upcoming Oscars hosting gig, as well as his nomination.
The studious actor claimed he wouldn't ditch his class at Yale to comment on his Best Actor nom for 127 Hours at The Today Show in NYC.
Let's just hope there are no lectures going on at Yale during the night of the Oscars, otherwise we might have to find another host.
Ha!

Although the film didn't do well at the box office and got some harsh reviews, Johnny Depp would not change one thing about The Tourist.
The actor said:
"I’d do it exactly the same. I wanted to work with Angelina and I felt like I had a good handle on the character. It was not a character that I’d really played before. I don’t know the main ingredient of success at the box office. I just feel that’s not something I can do anything about.”
Well, Johnny is up for a nomination at Sunday’s Golden Globes for Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical.
We're sure it's worth it to him!

We can't believe it's award season already!
Matt Damon will be campaigning in the lead actor category for his performance in Hereafter, even though he appears in less than half the film.
Although his supporting performance in the Coen brothers’ True Grit is getting buzz, so putting Damon in the lead category will avoid vote splitting.
It's rumored that he will have a lesser chance getting a nomination as a lead, but his performance as a construction worker struggling to deal with his unwanted psychic abilities is pretty impressive.
Lots of luck, Mr. Damon.

George Clooney is pure class!!
Turns out the seksi actor didn't vote for himself for this year's Best Actor Academy Award, and instead opted for Jeff Bridges!
Publicist Stan Rosenfield confirmed his client's vote:
"Story is true. According to George, 'It was an amazing performance.' He also told Jeff, 'If you don't win, you can't blame me.'"
What a nice guy!
We think BOTH actors gave amazing performances this year.
