Get your minds out of the gutter, people!
The folks over at the Academy Awards are probably feeling really silly right about now, as Ben Affleck has just scored another accolade for his outstanding work in Argo.
Not only did the Hollywood hunk snag the BAFTA Award for Best Director, but his movie won for Best Film in 2013!
Can you STAND it?! The film beat out Les Miserables, Lincoln, Life of Pi, and Zero Dark Thirty for the biggest prize of the night!
Will it be able to accomplish that same feat Oscar night? Our money is on YES! And when Ben goes to accept… well, THAT we can't wait to see!

One step closer to an Oscar!
The National Board of Review announced their year-end awards this morning and the film voted best of the year was David Fincher's The Social Network!
Along with the flick getting the top honor, Fincher was also selected as the Board's choice for best director, while Jesse Eisenberg was awarded best actor and Aaron Sorkin was recognized for best adapted screenplay! Wowza! In response to why the film got such acclaim from the board, NBR president Annie Schulhof explained:
“We believe the film portrays a dramatic story that will stand up over time and appeal to many generations."
It certainly appealed to this one! Our generation just loves watching movies about our generation!
Congrats to everyone on their respective honors! Sorry no love for you J.T.! There's always next year…with Yogi Bear!
