At an elephant sanctuary in Tennessee, the rescued elephants all eventually pair up and spend most of their time with one other elephant. Tarra, an elephant, was best friends with Bella, a dog.

Instead of pairing with another elephant, she paired with Bella.

Sadly, Bella went missing and was eventually found dead of an apparent coyote attack.

"As soon as we realized Bella was missing on Tuesday morning, the staff launched a Sanctuary-wide search, which continued into the next day. Late Wednesday morning, Bella’s body was discovered close to the barn Tarra shares with Bella and five other elephants."

After looking at the extent of Bella's wounds and where she ended up, they believed Bella's body was moved there. They knew for sure when they found blood on Tarra's trunk and distraught behavior.

It's thought that Tarra might have actually caught the end of the attack, and stopped the coyotes from devouring Bella.

Elephants are similar to people in how they can bond with another creature. They also mourn in the same way humans do, so the staff are giving extra attention to her.

A sister elephant, Shirley, has been extra compassionate towards Tarra.

Our hearts go out to Tarra and the staff at The Elephant Sanctuary.

R.I.P. Bella.

What a cute couple! Ha!

Joe Jonas may not have Ashley Greene to cuddle up next to anymore, but at least he's got his best bulldog bud Winston.

The Jonas Brother was spotted walking back to his car after lunch at the popular King's Road Cafe with a few friends and Winston in tow.

They say the way a man treats his dog is an indicator of how he'll treat his girlfriend, so Joe must be a perfect gentleman!

What was Ashley thinking!?

Oh well, there are plenty of fish in the sea, but only one Winston! Cute dog, Joe!
