The competition was FIERCE, but we kinda always knew that Argo would be taking the biggest award of the night… the Oscar for Best Picture!!

Ch-ch-check out the video (above) to see Jack Nicholson and Michelle Obama team up — never thought we'd say that — to give Ben Affleck, George Clooney, and Grant Heslov their hard-earned trophies!

Seriously, with a list like Amour, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Django Unchained, Les Misérables, Life of Pi, Lincoln, Silver Linings Playbook, Zero Dark Thirty, the choices were neck-and-neck!!

So happy for everyone involved!!

Argo And Ben Affleck DOMINATE At The 2013 BAFTAs! Check Out The FULL List Of Winners HERE!

ben affleck bafta win

Seriously, who even NEEDS an Academy Award nomination?!

Not Ben Affleck! That's for sure!

Because despite his very noticeable snub in the Best Director category for the much-anticipated ceremony later this month for his work on the critically-praised film Argo, he's managed to snag himself accolades in the same category at the Golden Globe Awards, Directors Guild of America Awards…and now, the 2013 EE British Academy Film Awards!

Otherwise known as the BAFTAs, bitches!

But that is not all!

Just like at Golden Globes, the actor-turned-director ALSO snagged his film the much-coveted title as Best Picture!

AH-MAY-ZING! And seriously so, SO well-deserved, boy!

You can check out the full list of winners from this year's ceremony to find out how Anne Hathaway, Daniel Day-Lewis and the rest of the gang did…AFTER THE JUMP!!!

There Were Some Warm Bodies Filling Up Seats At Movie Theaters This Weekend…And Not Much Else!

warm bodies box office

Sorry, Jeremy Renner!

The box office reign of Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters was short-lived!

But hey! What can you expect when facing up against a much-more-favorably-reviewed Twilight with zombies?!

That's right, Warm Bodies, which stars Jennifer Lawrence's ex Nicholas Hoult and a blonde, emotive Kristen Stewart Teresa Palmer as zombie apocalypse-crossed, brain-eating lovers, opened this weekend with an impressive $20 million - which is $10 million more than ANY other movie made between Friday and Sunday!

Sadly, this included Sylvester Stallone's latest non-Expendables effort, Bullet to the Head, which only raked in about $6.5 million and found itself barely afloat among Best Picture nominees and Jessica Chastain's Mama!

But want to know what's NOT so sad?

Movie 43 lost two-thirds of the already-abysmal ticket sales it managed to snag last weekend, and has fallen out of the top ten…and hopefully, out of our memories FOREVER!

Can we hear a resounding GOOD RIDDANCE from everyone, please?!

LOLz!

But check out which flicks made the box office top ten this weekend…AFTER THE JUMP!!!

argo best picture

Take that, Academy!

The sadly snubbed Ben Affleck won big at the Critics Choice Awards!

The Broadcast Films Critics Association awarded Argo with the coveted Best Picture Award!

The film beat out a slew of worthy competitors, including Beasts of the Southern Wild, Django Unchained, Les Miserables, Life of Pi, Lincoln, The Master, Moonrise Kingdom, Silver Linings Playbook, and Zero Dark Thirty!

Wow, that's a lot of Oscar Nominees that just got smoked!

Hey! We thought they said it was only the mission that was real! Turns out the movie is pretty darn real too!

Congrats, Ben!

Find Out How America Took Down Osama Bin Laden In Zero Dark Thirty

Kathryn Bigelow, the ex-wife of James Cameron who won an Oscar for directing The Hurt Locker, is gearing up for another run at the Academy Awards.

The first teaser for Zero Dark Thirty (above) has hit the web and it looks intense. The military drama is all about what went down behind the scenes as Navy SEAL Team 6 searched for Osama Bin Laden.

We all know how that ended, but it should be inneresting to see how the military gathered intel and pulled off the operation which eventually took the life of America's Most Wanted.
