Out of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' 5,765 voting members, about 94% of white and 77% are male, while there are only 2% African American or 2% Latino voters.

The average age? 62! Only

For Your Consideration…

for your consideration ads

We LOVE us some Ry Ry, but there's no effing way that Green Lantern deserves any of these awards, except MAYBE Best Visual Effects or something…

The first round of For Your Consideration ads have been released, and we're not surprised by TOO many of the films going for that Best Picture Oscar!

We're glad to see Moneyball and The Ides of March here…but what about that other Ryan Gosling movie we saw this year? Where's Drive??? Hopefully we'll see that one show up in round two!

Check out the first For Your Consideration ads (below), and let us know which films U think deserve to win big this year!

P.S. Green Lantern?!?!?!? Is that a joke or what, Variety?!?!?!?!?!?

Give Harry Potter An Oscar, Damn It!

They want it. They need it. They deserve it? That's up to the Academy to decide.

Warner Bros. is gearing up the campaign to get the final film of the saga, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part Two, nominated for some Oscars.

The studio is kicking things off by launching this "For You Consideration" trailer for, well, consideration. They are looking for everything from Best Picture to Best Actor to Best Use Of A Wand! (They'll probably win that last one…)

Ch-ch-check it out! (above)
