At the Oscars, Interstellar walked away with the award for Best Visual Effects and it was totally well-deserved!
Besides Matthew McConaughey, the visual effects of the film is what made us fall in love with the out of this world story.

Gravity got off to a strong start in the technical categories as it won the award for Best Visual Effects at the 2014 Oscars!
The film managed to beat out some strong competition, including The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, Iron Man 3, The Lone Ranger, Star Trek Into Darkness!
We can't really argue with this pick here! Those effects were out of this world!!

Gravity really brought down the house at the Critics’ Choice Awards!
The AH-Mazing astronautic thrill ride won more trophies than you could fit in an escape pod!
Besides Sandra Bullock F-Bomb fueled win for Best Actress in an Action Movie and Alfonso Cuaron's Best Directing, Gravity also took home Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Visual Effects, Best Score, and Best Sci-Fi Movie!
Seven awards! Wow! Should have known a movie about the vacuum of space would suck up a lot of trophies! Congratz!
