Ratings Drop For Season Premiere Of Big Love!

big-love-season-premiere-ratings-drop

We guess the lure of its impending end didn't give viewers enough faith to tune back in after what argued to be a pretty erratic last season!

Either that or The Golden Globes effed it up! Ha!

HBO debuted its first episode of Big Love's final season on Sunday night, and unfortunately, it pulled in about 1.2 million viewers, a considerable drop from the premiere of season four, which garnered 1.7 million!

We guess we won't know for sure until the numbers come in for next week!

Best of luck, guys! We want our beloved 'Chloe' the series to go out with a bang!

LOLz!

Chloe Makes A Bold Choice

chloe-sevigny-rodarte-spring-2011-big-love-premiere.jpg

Chloe Sevigny made quite the entrance at the Wednesday night premiere of Big Love.

For her last ever premiere, the daring dresser wore a spring 2011 Rodarte dress and leopard print Louboutin heels.

We're trying so hard to like this, but we can't.

The only thing we can think of while looking at Chloe is granny's porcelain china. As for the shoes, we won't even go there.

What do U think of Chloe's outfit???

Guess Who's Coming Back To Big Love?

Amanda Seyfried and Aaron Paul!

According to sources, the pair are set to return as Sarah and Scott for Big Love's big series finale. Co-creator Will Scheffer explained that both Amanda and Aaron "really wanted to be a part of the last episode, even though they were both shooting movies," while his partner Mark Olsen added, "It was special. Literally and figuratively it was a family getting back together."

Aw! We can't wait to see them back again! They've come a long way since they started out on the show, but it is nice to hear they have loyalty to their former stomping grounds.

It's the season to celebrate!

Big Love star Ginnifer Goodwin has gotten engaged to her boyfriend, actor Joey Kern.

The couple, who have been dating for two years after being set up by a friend, released a statement, saying, "We couldn't be happier than to celebrate our engagement over the holidays with our families."

Kern proposed to Goodwin earlier this month with a ring he designed himself. The two plan to wed next fall.

Congrats!

Big Love Star Ginnifer Goodwin Has Been On Weight Watchers Since Nine

Big Love Star Ginnifer Goodwin Has Been On Weight Watchers Since Nine

It’s important to keep tabs on your kids weight — but putting them on a diet program as a child when they’re not obese is crazy!

Said Ginnifer Goodwin, one of the stars of HBO’s Big Love:

"I have been a member of Weight Watchers for 23 years and I'm back on it right now. It's the only thing on the planet that doesn't dehydrate you or just make you miserable," she continues. "I've never had a dramatic weight problem, it's just that I tend to indulge, and then I need to get back on track so I can button my pants."

Ginnifer has a goal she wants to hit before quitting the program:

"I actually have a number, and I know that some people say that's not the healthiest gauge. But I have had a number for, honestly, 12 years that's my happy number where I feel good about myself and my energy's high. I call it my 'shooting weight,' because it's also the number that doesn't freak me out when I see myself on screen."

Starting a diet at age nine?! It's a little young, bb. As long as you're happy now!

New Details On American Psycho: The Musical

american psycho musical on its way

Back in February, we learned that a Broadway musical adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis' novel American Psycho was in the works, with music and lyrics by Spring Awakening's Duncan Sheik, and a script by Big Love's Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.

Now that progress is underway on the musical, Sheik and Aguirre-Sacasa have decided to let the world in on new details about the project.

Here's Duncan Sheik on American Psycho's music:

"Think about Malcolm McDowell singing songs during A Clockwork Orange. He sang Singing in the Rain."

And here's Sheik on the play's target audience:

"Obviously, it's not for the people who want to see Elf."

LOLs. Here's what playwright Aguirre-Sacasa had to say about the project:

"There are murders, and they are on stage in full view of the audience. An ax and a chef's knife will be used. I think there's going to be a lot of blood."

And for those of you Ellis fans out there who loved the book, here are some scenes from the novel that the playwright hopes to include:

- Bateman lures business associate Paul Owen back to his Manhattan apartment. Bateman puts on a raincoat so his designer suit doesn't get bloody and hacks up Owen with an ax.

- He bumps into "Tom Cruise" in the elevator of the Upper West Side building where they both live. Bateman refers to Cruise's film Cocktail as Bartender. Cruise corrects him and points out that his nose is bleeding.

- Bateman and his yuppie friends compare business cards at a swanky Upper East Side restaurant. Noting his peers' classier cards, Bateman becomes so jealous he finds it hard to breathe.

We're liking what we're hearing, but we'd STILL like to see Jared Leto come back and sing while his character from the film version gets axed to death!

Are U excited for American Psycho: The Musical?

Big Love Goes Bye Bye…After Next Season

big love to end after upcoming season

Time to say goodbye to Big Love…almost!

After the upcoming 5th season of Big Love, which premieres on January 16, we'll have to find another show about polygamy!

…Guess there's always Sister Wives assuming the entire cast doesn't go to jail.

Here's what President of HBO Programming Michael Lombardo had to say about the end of Big Love, via press release:

“It has been an honor and pleasure to work with series creators Mark V. Olsen and Will Scheffer on this unique and provocative series, and I’m happy that they will be able to bring the story to its close the way they always envisioned. We look forward with great anticipation to collaborating with Mark and Will on their next venture.”

And here's a statement from Big Love creators Mark V. Olsen and Will Scheffer:

“When we created Big Love in 2002, we had a strong conception of the journey the Henrickson family would make over the course of the series, of the story we had to tell. While we were in the writers’ room this year shaping our fifth season, we discovered that we were approaching the culmination of that story. Big Love has been our all-consuming labor of love for the past eight years. We are very grateful for HBO’s continuing support and for the collaborative effort of our partners at Playtone, our producers, our fine cast and our fellow craftsmen and crew for making this show the exceptional and joyful experience that it’s been. This coming January, we look forward to presenting our audience with the most vibrant and satisfying final season of a television series that we can produce.”

As for Exec Producer Gary Goetzman, he adds:

Big Love has been a truly rewarding experience in every way for Tom Hanks and me. We’ve been so fortunate to have had such a tremendous cast over the five seasons, and we’ve never been less than amazed with their brilliance and willingness to take risks. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our partnership with Will and Mark and have always been blown away by their storytelling abilities. We believe this final season of Big Love will be the best ever.”

Will U miss Big Love when it's gone?
