QuickFit Tip Of The Day

Pink 1

Bye Bye Big Mac! Fast food should be a once in a blue moon quick fix if at all! Contrary to the billion dollar ad campaigns, eating fast food many times a week is a recipe for health disaster. While it may taste great it won't give you the nutrition that you need to thrive. It just is not designed that way. Just look at how many obese people are in line at your favorite fast food joint. Walk away from the French Fries!

Man Eats 25,0000th Big Mac

What. The. Eff.

A retired prison guard stuffed his 25,000th Big Mac into his mouth on Tuesday, exactly 39 years after he ate his first one.

Don Gorske holds the Guinness World Record for eating the most Big Macs, and he says he has no desire to stop.

Said Gorske:

"I plan on eating Big Macs until I die. I have no intentions of changing. It's still my favorite food. Nothing has changed in 39 years. I look forward to it every day."

What’s interesting about Gorske is that he’s relatively fit and has low cholesterol — because he exercises regularly!

While it’s certainly NOT healthy to eat Big Macs everyday, a little exercise goes a long way when you’re trying to stay fit!

Oh, and congrats to Gorske on his crazy achievement!

A Chair Inspires 500-Pound-Man To Get Into Shape

matt hoover loses 300 pounds due to a chair

What causes a person to reach that point where they decide to get into shape? For Matt Hoover, it was all thanks to a chair.

Matt was unhappy with his weight at 500 pounds, but when he couldn't fit into a chair at a public place, he realized it was time to do something about it.

Here's what Hoover had to say about his embarrassing experience with a chair while out with friends at an Italian restaurant:

"I couldn't fit into the chair they had there. It was really embarrassing — just a horrible scene. They had chairs with arms. You had to be a certain width.

I told them to have fun, that I would go out and meet up with them later. I went to a coffee shop.

My size was preventing me from doing things that other people took for granted."

So sad. We're glad he was able to turn it around!

Here's some advice from Hoover on how to eat healthy:

"When you do exercises, it makes your eating better and gives you a healthy mindset. You don't want to screw up after walking four to five miles by eating a Big Mac."

And here's what Hoover is up to now, 300 pounds later:

"I'm a runner now. I've run 10Ks and trained for half marathons. I couldn't have done that before. Everything about my life has changed. I feel great."

So inspiring. Definitely motivation for sticking to your New Year's resolutions!
