It was bound to happen!
It seems that Jennifer Aniston will be guest-starring on Cougar Town's second-season premiere to air September 22nd. And Courteney Cox is thrilled!
Exective producer Bill Lawrence tells all:
“She’s going to play Courteney’s shrink named Bonnie. Kind of a get-too-involved-in-her-life-type of therapist. Those guys are so close in real-life they kind of do that for each other anyway. Bonnie has the life Jules’ wishes she has.
It took us a while to find the show. And once we did and once it was clicking, I think that not only did Courteney feel comfortable talking to Jen about doing it, but comfortable in how funny she thinks the show is and that Jen would like it and fit into this world really well.
It starts and ends with Courteney and Jennifer being really great friends and excited to work together again —especially doing comedy together. Every day that those two talk they have more ideas about [the role]. It’s definitely something they’re both involved in creatively.
We’re very intentionally implying that it’s a therapist Courteney has been using for a while, and we’re certainly not going to make it like they’ll never see each other again. So I’m crossing my fingers that if she has a good time it’ll happen again.”
Ha. Let's not count our chickens. Maniston isn't always so good at bringing an audience.

Did the producers on Cougar Town put you up to this?
Jennifer Aniston was seen out at night yet again with Courteney Cox and her husband David Arquette. The three of them saw Fleetwood Mac perform at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles.
Cougar Town show creator Bill Lawrence has said the following about Jen joining the show:
“I'd kill to get Jennifer on the show, and if I had any inclination it was happening, I would be telling everybody ’cause I don't really give a s**t. I would love it to happen and the second it did I would tell everybody in the world, but nothing's happened.”
You should totally go on Courteney’s show, Jen. Maybe then you’ll get your Courteney-Cox-fill during the day, and David can spend some quality alone time with the wifey at night.

Rumors have been swirling that Jennifer Aniston is going to appear on bestie Courteney Cox's show Cougar Town, but executive producer Bill Lawrence says no deal has been made yet.
"Nothing's happened yet. I'd kill to get Jennifer on the show, and if I had any inclination it was happening, I would be telling everybody ’cause I don't really give a shit. I would love it to happen and the second it did I would tell everybody in the world, but nothing's happened.
"By the nature of Jennifer and Courteney's friendship, they're gonna have to answer questions about that forever and ever…But the reality is Jennifer Aniston I think does anywhere from 70 to 80 movies a year. She works a lot, so it's tough to make that stuff work. But I'd love it to happen."
We bet it will happen eventually!

Smart move! You'd never know it was actually a decent show unless you watched it!
Courteney Cox's surprisingly good ABC comedy, Cougar Town, isn't getting the accolades it deserves because of its shiteous title, so series co-creator Bill Lawrence just announced that when it comes back next season, it will have a new name!
“You would be hard-pressed to watch the last three episodes of the show and asked anyone for titles I doubt anyone would say ‘Cougar Town.' Partly as a result of common sense and partly from [the studio's] research, they find too many instances of testing of people saying they would never watch a show called Cougar Town — ‘I don’t want to see some show about a 40-year-old woman nailing younger guys.' And then they screen an episode, and people go, ‘Oh, I would watch this show.’"
We agree! It just sort of sounds like a VH1 reality show with that name!!
What do U think they should re-name Cougar Town??
