Did Barbara Walters Tell Barack Obama That She Plans To Retire Next Year?

Holy shiz! We didn't think this day would ever come!

At the age of 82, Barbara Walters has reportedly decided to retire in the following year, as she was overheard telling the President exactly that during a recent interview!

Microphones apparently picked up Babs telling him:

"I need one more interview with you because I'm retiring next year."

Aww! If this is true, then it's certainly a bittersweet revelation!

With the longevity of the career she's had, we commend her still holding more than her own in the biz, but we're certainly going to miss her!

UPDATE:

ABC News EVP Jeff Schneider has issued the following statement regarding this report:

“Barbara has joked that she is retiring every year since the Clinton Administration. Anyone who just did a day trip to Syria and a 90 minute primetime special and interview with the President and First Lady hardly sounds like someone retiring from anything."

Phew! Glad to know that was just a nasty rumor!

Babara for life!

First Amy Winehouse Track Off Of Her Posthumous Album Debuts! Check Out Like Smoke HERE!

So bittersweet.

As happy as we are to have new music from her, it's only that much more of a reminder that she'll never be able to make any more.

Check out the first song to debut from Amy Winehouse's upcoming posthumous album, Lioness: Hidden Treasures - which was compiled by producers Salaam Remi and Mark Ronson with the consent of the late singer's family - called Like Smoke, which also features fresh verses from Nas (above)!

Definitely sounds as though this one may have been recorded earlier in her career, during the Frank sessions, but her voice is as flawless and soulful as ever, and the rapping fits well with the tone of the track!

May Amy be at peace.

You're missed, gurl.

First Look! Will Ferrell On The Office!

Filed under: TV NewsSteve CarellWill Ferrell

It's all happening so fast!

On last night's bittersweet episode of The Office, the beginning of the end was set into motion when Michael Scott and Holly Flax finally got engaged - but also revealed that they were moving back to Holly's hometown in Colorodo to care for her aging father!

Luckily for us, the devastating news has been softened by Will Ferrell's upcoming guest-stint as Michael's potential replacement, which was was teased last night during the episode's end credits!

Check out the clip (above)!

As sad as we are to see Steve Carrell go, we have to admit that we're more than a little excited to see these two together again!

We have a feeling that it's going to be a rocky road, though! Lots of laughter and lots more tears!
