Heart attacks are unpredictable, but that may soon change thanks to a recent study. Scientists have identified certain cells, called circulating endothelial cells (CECs), that are shed from weakened blood vessel walls and eventually clump together to block the flow of blood to the heart.
Dr. Eric Topol, lead author of the study published in the journal Science Translational Medicine, studied 50 patients who had a heart attack and found that

Remember a few months ago when Dodgers star James Loney decided to… allegedly… get all boozed up and act like a complete reckless idiot in his maserati??
Well, it looks like he's off the hook for it.
Because when you put peoples' lives in danger by doing something stupid and unavoidable, the best thing to do have happen is ZERO CONSEQUENCES.
He was picked up after colliding with a Toyota and then wrecking into 2 other vehicles. He even refused a breathalyzer… so he was taken in on suspicion. Can you guess what happened next?
The blood test came back negative!
What the what?!?
So, the City Attorney has decided to drop the DUI case because of lack of evidence.
We be he'll sleep like a baby tonight.

Attention fellas! That test you're about to undergo to check for prostate cancer may NOT be such a good idea after all!
The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force has determined that testing for prostate-specific antigen (PSA), the most commonly used prostate cancer screen, can actually do more harm than good in healthy men!
The blood test that measures levels of prostate-specific antigen — a protein produced by cells of the prostate gland — may result in impotence, incontinence, and infections.
Despite not being recommended by ANY major medical group, millions of men over the age of 50 receive routine PSA testing.
After analyzing all the previous research on the subject to evaluate whether the screening reduces deaths from prostate cancer, the task force concluded there is little (if any) life-saving benefit.
