We're so excited to hear about all these projects that Dolly's working on!
Back in November, we learned that Dolly Parton is planning a brand new album, as well as a worldwide tour, and NOW it looks like she's also planning a "gospel-tinged children's musical!"
The musical will be a semi-autobiographical play about Dolly's "upbringing in Tennessee."
But there's more! Dolly MAY also do a revival of Hello, Dolly!, country-style.
Here's what she had to say about it:
"In 1964, when I went to New York for the first time with my high school class, I only got to the movies - it was to see It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, and it was a real big deal for me. But I also remember the show Hello, Dolly! was just coming out at the time, and there were signs for it all over the place, and I thought they were welcoming me to the city."
"Later I wanted to do a country-fied version of that show - the same songs, but with a bluegrass flavour. It never happened."
You should DEFINITELY do both of these shows, bb. We'd be very curious to see your country-fied interpretation of Hello, Dolly!
Will U check out these Dolly Parton musicals if/when they come out?

Way to go, Paul! First, you land a gig performing at the Royal Wedding, and now you'll be collaborating with the Father of the Bride! Pretty exciting.
Comedian/bluegrass musician Steve Martin is currently working on his second album Rare Bird Alert, and Paul McCartney will be a featured artist on the record.
Here's what Martin had to say about McCartney's involvement with his album:
“It's very hard to believe. I was a kid when I first heard Paul McCartney, and if you told me one day that he'd be singing one of my tunes, I'm still flabbergasted.”
Maybe you can also get Paul to perform in your next movie, Steve.
And yes, that's our way of saying that we'd like to see U on the big screen once again at some point, bb!
Are U intrigued by a Steve Martin/Paul McCartney bluegrass collaboration?
