This was not smart from the jump.
McDonald's tried to promote a Twitter campaign asking followers to promote stories of their experiences in Mickey D's.
With the hashtag, #McDStories, the campaign went from innocent marketing ploy to a sound board of haters.
Animal activists and disgruntled customers took the campaign by storm and McD took it down.
But it cannot be stopped!!!
The hashtag still floats around and even a new, #McFail, has surfaced to add to Mickey D's chagrin.
#McFail is definitely a good way to describe this social marketing blunder.
