What a terrible way to end a terrible year.

Robin Thicke hasn't had the best luck during these past 12 months, and it looks like the start to his 38th go around the sun isn't starting off much better.

That's because Robin and Pharrell just lost their Blurred Lines copyright lawsuit to Marvin Gaye on Tuesday… which also happens to be Robin's birthday.

Despite his musical defense, along with Pharrell, T.I., and even Paula Patton taking the stand, the jury found that the men behind the controversial song owe Marvin's estate $7.3 million!

That is a pretty crappy birthday present.

Following the verdict, Pharrell's team released a statement, saying:

Inneresting…

Blurred Lines may have been the most misogynistic song of 2013, but it was also undoubtedly a moneymaker.

In fact, Robin Thicke's date rape anthem No. 1 song earned him a staggering $5,658,214, while featured artist Pharrell walked away with a measly $5,153,457.

And while the song saw a lot of profit for Paula Patton's ex, that may not be the case for long!

Robin Thicke Has Officially Made His Feature Film Debut & It Is A Major Cringe-Fest! Watch HERE!

Well, Robin Thicke surely won't be winning any Oscars with this film.

Way back in 2012, before the whole cheating incident with Paula Patton and then his pathetic attempt to win her back, the Blurred Lines singer decided he was gonna try to break into the acting world.

Making the Rules, originally titled Abby in the Summer, co-stars Jaime Pressly and has finally been released, without any marketing or anything, quietly and only On Demand.

Which once you watch his acting talents in the trailer, you'll see exactly why it was released that way.

If you dare ch-ch-check out the trailer (above)!!!

Robin Thicke Blurred Lines So Badly With Women That He's Been Named SEXIST Of The Year! Find Out Why HERE!

robin thicke named sexist of the year by end violence against women coalition miley cyrus paula patton

From a super-public ass-grab at the VMAs, to a marriage possibly wrecked by allegations of philandering, to a chart-smashing music video with themes & imagery so salacious it could make a dominatrix blush, 2013 was quite a year for Robin Thicke!

And we haven't even mentioned his wildly scandalous VMA dance with Miley Cyrus! How could we forget that?

The End Violence Against Women Coalition sure didn't! They just bestowed upon him a super unfortunate superlative, in fact — they named him 2013's SEXIST OF THE YEAR!

Yikes, that's not a trophy we think he'd like to set out on the mantle!

Sarah Green, a spokesperson for the coalition, thinks Robin's sexist failings were so obvious and unavoidable that he actually helped bring light to her cause. She admitted:
