Republican Senators John McCain (Arizona) and Lindsey Graham (South Carolina) denounced the orange president's ban on travel to the U.S. from seven Muslim-majority countries, fearing the executive order "may do more to help terrorist recruitment than improve our security."
The two Senators issued a joint statement on Sunday, saying:
"Our government has a responsibility to defend our borders, but we must do so in a way that makes us safer and upholds all that is decent and exceptional about our nation… we fear this executive order will become a self-inflicted wound in the fight against terrorism."
Basically, they're agreeing with the thousands of protesters and millions of perplexed citizens saying that Donny already fucked up BIG TIME!
Senate Foreign Relations Chairman (and fellow Republican) Bob Corker agreed, saying Drumpf's administration should immediately make revisions to the executive order. He said in a statement on Sunday:
