With critical acclaim and unprecedented box office sales, Hamilton was the biggest broadway sensation of 2015!

And since the latest trend in network TV is broadcasting live performances of hit musicals, it seems like Lin-Manuel Miranda's smash hit would be the perfect choice to being put onto the small screen!

Interestingly enough, NBC chairman Bob Greenblatt is an investor in the biographical musical about the founding father.

This sounds like a great idea!

NBC saw a big dip in ratings for this year's live musical, and it's making them have big plans for next time!

The network's Bob Greenblatt already announced that they had a deal for the Music Man, but now details are coming out that The Wizard Of Oz story may actually be their next choice!

Greenblatt made the announcement at the TCA press tour on Friday, saying that The Wiz was hot in 2013, but the network eventually nixed the idea for their dramatic straight-to-series order.

But now the idea is back on the table in the form of a musical!

NBC Execs Are Upset With The Peter Pan Live! Ratings… Because Of Allison Williams???

no title

This is bad news for the actress.

NBC's Peter Pan Live! was met with mixed reviews, and some very disappointing ratings, which means that the execs aren't happy at all.

Last year, the live musical of Sound of Music pulled in 18 million viewers, but this year there were only 9.2 million, despite having more press than their previous live musical.

And they want to blame Allison Williams, but can't because of her pops Brian Williams.

The show is already done now, but next year, they say they're looking for someone with more star power than Allison has, like Carrie Underwood did.

Though, the one exec who spoke on-the-record, NBC's entertainment chief Bob Greenblatt, felt the opposite way. He said

Jonathan Rhys Meyers Wasn't Given All Of His Blood Money From Dracula Because Of Addiction Concerns!

Dealing with addiction sucks, even if you're Dracula!

That's why NBC apparently created a payment plan for Jonathan Rhys Meyers, who has struggled with alcohol dependency, that would motivate him to finish filming all 10 episodes of Dracula this summer in Budapest!

According to sources, NBC withheld a sizable portion of Jonathan's salary, an estimated $100,000 for each episode, until the filming had been done in its entirety.

Dracula himself received a per diem and other small payments (hopefully not in blood), but the majority of his entire salary was apparently given to him only if he completed the season!

Despite reportedly having a meltdown onset and being subsequently hospitalized, Jonathan, who was required a sober companion with him during filming, made good on his word and the show finished filming!

Allegedly, he returned to rehab right afterwards and while it drives a stake in our heart to hear that he suffered a meltdown, it's good to hear that he dealt with the problem!
