How Stefani Germanotta Became The Ruler Of Pop Music!
It's story we can hear over and over again, but now it's being told by someone on the front lines of Lady GaGa's global music take over.
Once upon a time, there was a young, ambitious, but "painfully shy" musical genius named Stefani Germanotta. She walked among us without meat on her head or bricks in her shoes, but she was talented beyond belief. Bob Leone, who became GaGa's first manager, first met our wifey at an open mic night when she was 13 or 14 years old.
He recalls the first time he heard her perform as being "prodigy-like" and then, spent six months in 2006 watching her transfrom from Stefani to GaGalicious! He explains:
"It was a very important six months because going into it, she was Stefani, and she was still writing pop music. By the end of that six month period, she was officially Lady Gaga."
After that, Bob explains she was off and running. He took her to an artist showcase, where she quickly became the talk of the event. It was there that her true purpose was finally revealed. Bob explains:
"She blew everyone away. Nobody talked about anything after that show but Lady Gaga. She bantered with the audience and was very funny. I never noticed that sense of humor when she was Stefani…Whenever someone asked her, 'what is your goal?' she would always give the same two-word answer: 'world domination.'"
Hell yes! Four years later, she's totally done it!
We're so proud of what she's been able to accomplish in just a short time. It's truly awe inspiring to watch her journey continue to unfold!
