Seventeen Magazine Makes A Body Peace Treaty With Readers

One person can make a difference!
In April, an AH-MAY-ZING 14-year-old named Julia Bluhm began a campaign to get Seventeen magazine to post an unaltered photo in their magazine each month, compared to the photoshopped one.
The Maine teen started a petition on Change.org, which got 84,000 signatures, and she even protested in front of Seventeen Magazine’s headquarters to persuade the mag to do things differently.
After a few months, the public has rallied behind this initiative and Seventeen has responded! The editor-in-chief, Ann Shoket, is going to print an eight-point Body Peace Treaty in her new editor’s letter, part of which will say:
