Lena Dunham & Jemima Kirke 'Challenge Traditional Lingerie Stereotypes' In New Stripped Down, Non-Photoshopped Portraits

Lena Dunham and Jemima Kirke

Lookin' good, ladies!

Girls stars Lena Dunham and Jemima Kirke teamed up in the name of "challenging the traditional lingerie stereotypes" for New Zealand-based intimates and swimwear company Lonely's latest campaign.

The empowering, non-Photoshopped series released on Wednesday features the actresses posing around an NYC apartment in the brand's lacy, see-through bralettes and panties. Beautiful!

In the photo (above), the 30-year-old writer rocks the the Penny bra and underwear set in seafoam green while Miz Kirke shows a little nipple in the Bonnie sheer pastel purple set with lace detailing. Both celebs finished the sultry look with a touch of red lipstick.

This all goes along perfectly with Lonely's body positive mission to create intimates for women "who wear lingerie as a love letter to themselves" — which means you'll never find the brand altering models appearance via Photoshop.

A statement from the company reads:

"Lonely aspires to showcase women wearing underwear in a way that we usually don't see in mainstream advertising and the media. Instead of being objectified, the women who participate in these campaigns — in this case, Lena and Jemima — are empowered and exhibit real beauty that will hopefully help women everywhere feel a little more liberated."

Mission accomplished!

"We're countering a lifetime of learned hatred. Fat girls can do whatever they want. I thought I couldn't wear a bikini and I can, and I love it."

The gorgeous gal also explained she's finally learning to accept herself:

"That's a pretty powerful thing for me, especially when you've been taught your entire life that you need to shrink or hide or disappear."

Mary echoed that sentiment, expressing:

"My size is not an indicator of my worth."

Lena Dunham and Kim Kardashian

Oh, people are still talking about this?

Forever a champion of body positivity, Lena Dunham has a thing or two to say about all that backlash Kim Kardashian West received earlier this year for that nude selfie. You know the one.

According to People, the 30-year-old added her two cents to the conversation during the Power Women Breakfast series hosted by TheWrap:

"I'm all about it. Every version of being female and feeling powerful is f*cking great with me. I don't have a problem with it."

And hey, maybe people shouldn't be so quick to judge, eh? We can definitely get on board with spreading more love in this world in light of recent events.

'Dear Fat People' YouTuber Nicole Arbour FIRED From Body-Positive Dance Movie!

She did ask what the keyboard defenders were gonna do about the clip…

YouTuber Nicole Arbour upset a lot of people last Thursday when she posted a video entitled Dear Fat People that was basically six straight minutes of fat-shaming in front of a camera.

While there was a lot of outcry at first, Nicole seemed to enjoy the backlash, posting a follow-up video called Most Offensive Video EVER.

Well, we think she may no longer be liking her role as an online villain, because her hateful post just lost her a job choreographing an upcoming Hollywood film!

Apparently, in addition to being a mildly-successful YouTube personality, Nicole is also a dancer/cheerleader and was hired to choreograph a movie called Don't Talk to Irene.

The only problem?? The dance movie is actually a body-positive story about a teenager
