Megan Levy is a former marine with two tours of Iraq under her belt.
She became a handler for bomb sniffing dogs.
But when she retired, her dog, Rex, didn't.
After serving some more, Rex eventually came down with a condition that would lead to him having to be put to sleep if he couldn't be adopted.
So Megan has been fighting through the bureaucracy and red tape to try and get her dog to her.
Due to the power of this story (and the fact she received a purple heart) a senator, the owner of the Yankees and many others have stepped in to try and get her dog to her.

A German Shepherd, who was once a bomb-sniffing dog, had escaped from an airport.
When they touched down in Detroit, the dog, Arco, ran away after being let out of his crate to go to the bathroom.
Arco was on his way to Michigan to find a new home when he escaped.
He was eventually found and captured by police in a Detroit suburb.
Because he bit two people he is being held for tests.
We hope he's rabies free, forgiven and sent to his forever home to live the carefree life a retired bomb-sniffer should.
