Bono Praises Alicia Keys At The Premiere Of Her AIDS Documentary

Bono and Alicia Keys

Alicia Keys may have just found her number one fan!

Bono, the lead singer of U2, praised her for not only her musical endeavors, but her charitable impact on the global fight against AIDS.

At the world premiere of Keys' new Showtime documentary Keep A Child Alive with Alicia Keys, the rocker and well-known philanthropist praised her for finding her "lioness energy" to visit South Africa while pregnant to shine a light on the AIDS epidemic.

The R&B singer started the Keep a Child Alive charity in 2003 to assist those affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India. Bono believes her positive influence on the less-fortnuate world around her will only grow stronger since giving birth last year because she won't "let other mothers suffer."

Alicia hopes the film, which airs on the premium channel in conjunction with World AIDS Day on December 1st, will inspire people to start donating toward her organizations cause.

"Even if you never have been able to travel there, or if you never can," she says. "That doesn't mean you can't travel with us and really see it for yourself."

Uh-oh! We had a feeling that this whole mess was going to be a little less-than-amicable, but looks like someone isn't wasting any time!

Julie Taymor filed a lawsuit last week regarding her abrupt firing as director from the so-bad-it's-just-bad, accident-prone, $65 million musical Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark, under claims that the production has infringed upon her creative input, and now, she's lashing out at her collaborators, Bono and The Edge, and asserts that they used her as a scapegoat to escape the bad press they were receiving for all of the injuries and delays!

She explains:

Bono Taken To The Hospital!

Bono Hospital Visit

Oh no! We hope everything's okay, Bono!

The U2 frontman was taken to the hospital, but rumors are being denied that it was because of heart-related issues.

The 51-year old singer, who performed last month at Glastonbury and recently completed a world tour of 30 countries was reportedly ordered to rest by doctors after suffering chest pains on Wednesday, according to the Irish Independent newspaper.

But a spokesman for the singer told Reuters that the singer was well and healthy, and that his visit to hospital in the tiny South of France principality Monaco had simply been routine.

"Despite press stories to the contrary, Bono has not suffered a recent health scare. Reports of his being rushed to hospital for emergency treatment are untrue. Bono is in good health and enjoying a family holiday in the south of France."

Well that's good news! We hope it WASN'T heart-related, that's for sure.

Hope you're enjoying France!

Spider-Man Musical Actors Suffer Injuries After Stunts Gone Wrong!

actors-in-spider-man-turn-off-the-dark-suffer-stunt-related-injuries

Ouch!

Apparently, being a part of the cast of the Spider-Man musical can be detrimental to your safety!

An actor and a dancer in the troubled Julie Taymor/Bono collaboration, Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark, have suffered broken bones while attempting to do the sling-shot flying technique for which the webbed superhero is most recognized!

After Kevin Aubin broke his wrists last week, another actor came forward to reveal:

“I had broken my feet on the same move a month earlier. Kevin is doing fine though and took it like a champ.”

Lead producer Michael Cohl also issued this statement regarding the matter:

“Our priority from ‘Day 1’ has always been to put safety first. We continue every day to make the running of the show a safer experience.”

Unfortunately with shows with a lot of elaborate stunts such as this, there are accidents - especially during the rehearsal time. We're just glad nobody's injuries were any worse, and hopefully by the time it debuts all of the kinks will be worked out!

Thoughts??
