It was the belle of the internet ball yesterday, so we hope so! Ha!

Lauren Conrad got sooo much flack over it. Cuz basically, it's a DIY how-to for a cute storage box that you can place on a shelf. But it involves the destruction of hardback books…

And even though she was celebrating the love of books (she even recommends using the pages for a different wall decor idea), her Crafty Creation pissed a lot of people off!

And then LEMONY FREAKING SNICKET responded — cuz they were HIS books she destroyed!! Replying to the literary hoopla, he said:

But don't despair, novel lovers!! Cuz after you cut the binds off the books, you can make yourself a neat lil' storage box for a shelf!

Some people are really getting upset by it, but we think if you can find some books that have seen better days or are gonna be thrown away anyways, why not??
