Deep in the backwoods of north central Minnesota, David Lee Roth has a message for spurned Van Halen fans:

Overalls are back The band's schedule was more than they could handle.

Roth and Russell, his patient border collie, explain that Van Halen "bit off a bit more than they could chew" when it came to their touring schedule. in an aptly named "Public Relations" video.

So their July concerts have been white-washed away.

But, for those hoping for another crack at it, Roth offers a glimmer of retribution.

He states that the tour will resume next year, so hopefully your parents can get their money's worth!

Puppy Love.

At Tuesday's permire of Scream 4 Anna Paquin shared about doggie mommying with husband (and TrueBlood co-star) Stephen Moyer.

"We only have two [dogs], but sometimes they make enough noise to feel like a whole menagerie."

Noise aside, being mom to 12-year-old springer spaniel border collie named Banjo and Splash, her 2-year-old Catahoula mix, has been a rewarding experience.

"They love you unconditionally, and you have to actually take care of them and it makes you step outside yourself. It doesn't matter how tired you are and if you've been up until whenever, they still need to be walked and loved and pet. I think it's good to put your own self in perspective."

Everyone thinks their dog is smart, but this dog is ACTUALLY smart!

Chaser, a female border collie, possesses the largest human vocabulary of any dog and can recognize the names of more than 1,022 objects.

Now that's impressive. We don't even know if our vocabulary is that high.

This dog is so smart, she even went to college!

As part of a three year training course at Wofford College, Chaser was introduced to the names of 1,022 toys by by psychologists Alliston Reid and John Pilley.

The pair of psychologists played fetch with each object repeatedly to reinforce the word in the dog's mind and say here is no limit to what she can learn.

Fascinating stuff.

Maybe we'll start training Teddy like that.
