Penelope Cruz Loves Emile Hirsch In The Trailer For Twice Born

This looks all kinds of sad and depressing!

Penelope Cruz stars in the upcoming drama called Twice Born, which is about her character returning to Bosnia with her teenage son where his father, played by Emile Hirsch, died during the Bosnian conflict of the 1990.

The trailer (above) doesn't really give us too many plot details, but it sure sets the somber mood.

Needless to say, if U liked Speed Racer, U probably won't like this one. LOLz!

Angelina Jolie Gets Tearful At Bosnian Premiere Of Her New Movie!

Wowsa! For someone who is generally quite poised, Angelina has been getting VERY emotional over this movie!

Check out the video (above) of Angelina Jolie breaking into tears following a standing ovation at the Bosnian premiere of her new film In the Land of Blood and Honey.

Between this positive experience and winning the prestigious Stanley Kramer Award, Angie must be feeling pretty good about herself (and her film) right now!

Congratulations, Angie! We're happy for U!

Horrendous! German Shepherd's Face Blown Off By Firecracker

Filed under: R.I.P.Sad SadDogAnimal CrueltyGerman Shepherd

vucko dog face blown off by firecracker

This is incredibly sad and disturbing.

Last month, two drunken teenagers in Bosnia duct-taped a firework to a German Shepherd named Vucko and blew off his face. Horrible.

Poor Vucko wandered the streets for five days after the incident, in agony and unable to eat anything.

Authorities finally picked him up and brought him to a veterinarian's office, but unfortunately he had to be euthanized when vets couldn't perform reconstructive surgery.

As a result of this tragedy, care2 advocacy website has started a petition to urge "Bosnian authorities to hunt down the guilty parties, expose the severity of animal abuse, and create proper legislation that will protect animals."

So very, very sad. We truly hope that justice is served, and measures are taken to stop animal cruelty in Bosnia, and all over the world.

Rest in Peace, Vucko.

Angelina Jolie Shares Her Thoughts On Bosnia And Directing With Newsweek

It might be one of her best interviews to date, with a comprehensive look at not only the movie, but of the woman behind the lens herself.

Angelina Jolie sat down with Newsweek while in Bosnia making her directorial debut and shared with the reporter her process in approaching her endeavour. To hear her speak about the project with such passion is one thing, but to hear how she sat in a room with this reporter, drinking and having a merry time for eight hours is another. Sometimes, we forget that people like herself need time to relax and be normal themselves - as normal as it is to spend 8 hours talking about a movie that you yourself made!

Here are some HIGHlights from Angie's interview with Newsweek:
