Andrew Ference took a break from the NHL, playing for the Boston Bruins, to teach his 2-year-old daughter to skate.
She's actually almost three, which still seems crazy young to us…though that's the age when he learned to skate as a kid!

Rejected!
You only get so many chances in life (usually just one, if that) to meet the President of the United States of America at the White House, but Boston Bruins goaltender Tim Thomas gladly gave it up earlier this week.
The 2011 Stanley Cup MVP came to the decision to pass on his team's meet-and-greet with Barack Obama because he believes the federal government is "threatening the Rights, Liberties and Property of the People."
In his one and only statement on the matter, Thomas said:

Sure, video games can be violent…but then again the city of Vancouver turned cars over and set them on fire when the Boston Bruins won the Stanley Cup…so should we ban children from watching sports as well???
Whether or not you think your children should be allowed to rent/buy violent video games, if they live in California they're allowed to, because today the Supreme Court ruled that "it is unconstitutional to bar children from buying or renting violent video games."
