The weekend numbers are in, and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is the BIG winner!

His new film San Andreas did a cool $53 million domestic take at the box office, which made his adventure flick the biggest winner of the weekend!

Among other notables, Johnson's movie defeated one Bradley Cooper and his new flick Aloha, also starring Emma Stone, Rachel McAdams, and many others.

Jurassic World & Inside Out Are Getting Ready For BIG Debuts! Find Out How Much These Blockbusters Are Expected To Make HERE!

Jurassic World and Inside Out are expect to have BIG debuts!

Blockbuster season is officially upon us, which means movie theaters around the world are basically about to become second homes for cinephiles everywhere!

But while some movies like Tomorrowland didn't quite deliver in the box office, a few others are getting ready for BIG opening weekends!

Kicking things off is Inside Out, which is Pixar's first feature film to hit theaters in TWO years and features Amy Poehler, Mindy Kaling, Bill Hader, and MANY more!

So how much is this family friendly film poised to bring in? Well according to preliminary tracking, movie is set to make $60 million in its debut!

But if you're looking for something with more teeth to it there's always Jurassic World, the first installment of the Jurassic franchise to drop in 14 years!! Apparently bigger dinosaurs means bigger bucks, because Chris Pratt and company are expected to rake in $110 million in its debut! That's a lot of guacamole!!

Sadly, Inside Out doesn't come out until June 19th while Jurassic World drops on June 12th, so only time will tell if these projections hold up!

True Detective Director Cary Fukunaga Exits It Remake– Was He Scared Away By Budget Cuts?

Back to the drawing board!

It looks like New Line Cinema needs to find another director for the big screen adaptation of Stephen King's It — because Cary Fukunaga has officially left the project!

According to reports, the True Detective director was butting heads with the studio during the development of his two-part adaptation of the horror classic centering around a demonizing clown who terrorizes a group of children.

The biggest reason for the Fukunaga's departure was New Line's recent budget cuts for the film, for which the director did not want to compromise his artistic vision.

We're not sure you could call Tomorrowland a bomb, but it definitely didn't do the business Disney was betting on for its Memorial Day opening weekend.

It was number one at the box office but pulled in just $40.7 mil, compared to last year's X-Men: Days Of Future Past ($110.6 mil) and 2013's Fast & Furious 6 ($97.4 mil).

But enough about Tomorrow, let's talk about yesterday.

Insane budgets, bad advertising, terrible reviews have led to FAR worse financial disappointments than this one.

What A Lovely Day! Mad Max Director Confirms A Sequel To Fury Road AND Reveals The Title!

Mad Max: Fury Road heated up the box office, making over $45 million its opening weekend!

So it's no surprise that the critically acclaimed film has already ignited another installment for the hit franchise!

Series director George Miller revealed that upcoming sequel will be titled Mad Max: The Wasteland. The story will follow the events of the latest film starring Tom Hardy in the titular role!

The Wasteland is referred to as the world the Mad Max movies take place in, dating way back to the original 1979 film with Mel Gibson!

Miller admitted that it was thanks to Fury Road's long delay that he now has a trilogy of films planned out. The director explained:

Anna Kendrick Aca-Dorably Reacts To Pitch Perfect 2 Beating Mad Max: Fury Road At The Box Office!

Anna Kendrick celebrates her movie's box office success in the most 'Pitch Perfect' way!

The Pitch is pumped!!

Anna Kendrick is over the moon about the smashing success that was Pitch Perfect 2!

The sequel to the aca-mazing 2012 hit earned more in its opening weekend than its parent production did in its entire run!

The Barden Bellas brought in the big bucks, beating Avengers: Age of Ultron, Mad Max: Fury Road, and claiming the top spot in the box office for the weekend.

One of our favorite fun-sized females took to Twitter Monday to gush about aca-awesome achievement:

Not only was the singsong sequel the number one movie this weekend — by, like, $25 million — it was also the highest grossing musical EVER!

And it's only been out for four days!
