Connie Stevens and her daughter Joely Fisher are currently busy promoting their new movie Search Engines… but the Thanksgiving-themed flick isn't the only newsworthy thing going on in their lives.

That's because during their episode of The Hallmark Channel's Home & Family airing Wednesday morning, Connie shared that she suffered a stroke earlier this year!

While she's fully recovered since, the Hollywood icon revealed to hosts Debbie Matenopolous and Mark Steines that she was actually hospitalized for 16 days straight after experiencing symptoms back in January!

Brandi Chastain isn't just one of the most talented players in the history of soccer, she's also one of the bravest.

The two-time Olympic gold medalist and two-time World Cup winner announced on Thursday she will be donating her brain to science upon her eventual death in an effort to better understand the sport!

The 47-year-old made the decision to give her cranium to the Department of Veterans Affairs and Boston University School of Medicine Concussion Legacy Foundation Brain Bank to help her fellow athletes, saying:

Coroners In New York Are Allowed To Take Your Brain Out Of Your Dead Body Without Telling Your Family, Appeal Court Says

This doesn't seem very just to us…

The New York State Court of Appeals just made a ruling that coroners are allowed to remove the brain from a dead body without having to tell the deceased's family.

The decision came after the case of Jesse Shipley, a 17-year-old in Staten Island who died in a car accident back in 2005.

After his death and funeral, Jesse's classmates went on a school trip to the city mortuary and saw his brain on display in formalin, a kind of preservative agent.

We're not sure why the school funded such a morbid trip, but regardless, Jesse's parents Andre and Korisha Shipley found out that their dead son's brain was not buried with the rest of his body and promptly sued the city for emotional distress and neglect.

Well, in Appellate court, the Shipleys originally won $1 million in damages, but after the city appealed the decision,
