Britney Spears has agreed to just pay a settlement in the what seemed to be a never-ending perfume lawsuit.
Here's a little recap:
Britney was being sued by Brand Sense Partners, who claimed to connect her with Elizabeth Arden to front her Radiance perfume. In the agreement, Brand Sense was supposed to get 35% of Brit's profits.
That's when things get a little shady. According to Brand Sense, Brit and her Dad then decided to get into a secret deal with Elizabeth Arden directly — cutting them out.
The exact sum isn't revealed, but, let's just say that it was commissions for a period of years, in addition to a lump sum.
And let's be honest that it's probably pocket change, because gurl is filthy rich!!
Glad it's all over!

Not only did the Judge decide that Britney didn't have to deposed in the Brand Sense lawsuit over a fragrance, but now the Judge has blocked the effort to get her medical records in a bid to prove that she COULD testify:
The pop star is still under court-ordered conservatorship after a bout of erratic behavior in 2008. Her father and attorneys control her personal and financial affairs.
Because of the conservatorship, she will not be required to give a deposition in the lawsuit from the company Brand Sense, which claims it helped negotiate a perfume deal for Spears but was cut out of the profits.
Brand Sense wanted to see medical records proving Spears couldn't testify. But Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Reva Goetz ruled Tuesday that Brand Sense Partners has no standing to see medical records.
Hey Brand Sense: Whomp whomp!
That's what we have to say! Let Britney get back to music!

Britney Spears' attorneys are asking the judge for a delay in the never ending fragrance lawsuit filed by Brand Sense Partners.
According to the court docs filed by Brit Brit's legal team, they need more time to respond to Brand Sense's motion to unseal documents related to her conservatorship.
The papers go on to say if the hearing isn't moved from August 17th to August 30th the Co-Conservators "will be prejudiced and suffer irreparable harm by not having sufficient time to oppose the motion which involves important and very complex issues concerning, among other things, the Conservatee's privacy rights."
They've already had one small victory with the judge regarding her conservatorship, hopefully their good luck will continue!

Britney Spears has won a small victory in her fragrance lawsuit!
As you may recall, Brand Sense demanded a judge order Britney to be deposed only to be denied!
A judge ruled on Monday the Femme Fatale doesn't have to do so because she's still under a conservatorship, which is what her lawyers were saying from the very beginning.
Obviously butt hurt over the ruling, Brand Sense plans to appeal.
Good luck with that.

Brand Sense Partners is trying their darndest to get Britney Spears to sit down for a deposition, but according to her lawyers she's not competent enough to testify!
As we mentioned at the end of March, the marketing company is suing the Femme Fatale after they were cut out of a fragrance deal they struck with Elizabeth Arden.
Since filing the suit, they've made multiple requests for Britney to appear in court and give a sworn statement, only to be blocked by her conservatorship.
Now after months of going back and forth with her people, Brand Sense is asking a judge to force her to testify because they believe she's competent enough to do so.
A judge will make the decision on July 11th.

Brand Sense Partners is suing Britney Spears and dad Jamie Spears for $10 million after they allegedly cheated them out of profits from a fragrance deal.
The marketing company says in the lawsuit filed on Wednesday, they negotiated a deal with Elizabeth Arden in 2004 for BritBrit's fragrance collection, only to have it renegotiated by Jamie last year. By doing so, Brand Sense was cut out of their 35% commission.
So far, no comment from Team Britney.
