The idea behind the U.K.'s new controversial new ad campaign is to raise awareness about how awful pancreatic cancer is. It's awful, it has the lowest survival rate, and it's extremely painful.
The ads want to emphasize these points by having pancreatic cancer patients say they wish they had other cancers.
The campaign comes from Pancreatic Cancer Action, and one of the ads shows a 24-year-old woman saying:

After his mom Pattie Daly Caruso endured the heartbreak of losing her husband to bladder cancer when Carson was a young child, she also has more recently suffered from breast cancer during the late '90s when Carson was a host on MTV's TRL.

Thank goodness for TV anchors and their on-air health screenings! Sure, we laughed at Matt Lauer and Al Roker when they got embarrassing prostate exams on live television, but let's face it, they can save a life!!!
