The Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Special was chock-full of stars, including cast members from yesterday and today.
One of the most exciting moments was seeing Eddie Murphy back on the stage for the first time in 30 years!

But why did he do so little? We mean, he didn't even do a sketch!
Well, according to fellow former castmate Norm Macdonald, he was supposed to do one — and it was going to be the most controversial of the night!
So why didn't we see Eddie as Bill Cosby during the Celebrity Jeopardy sketch?
Norm took to Twitter to explain the sketch idea — and why Eddie backed out:

Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale were a walking fashion ad as they stepped out to have lunch with producer Brett Ratner in Beverly Hills on Sunday.

Gwen especially was looking fancy in grid-print Chloe slacks and a pearl-embellished navy turtleneck. Completing the luxurious street style ensem were the spiked Christian Louboutin booties on her feet.

This weekend had two heavyweight stars battling it out for box office supremacy, and now we know there has definitely been crowned a winner!
In one corner was Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson who got into ridiculously good shape for his movie Hercules.
And in the other corner was the sultry and sexy Scarlett Johansson who is playing a heroine with supernatural powers in Lucy.
Well, Scarlett and her writer/director Luc Besson turned out to be the victors in this fight as ScarJo and company are due to make

Shots of honey on the house! We're celebrating!
Brett Ratner (remember that guy who said rehearsing was for "f*gs?) and his firm RatPac Entertainment have purchased the film rights to the book Finding Winnie, which tells the actual story of the creation of Winnie the Pooh and about how one actual bear inspired a literary masterpiece!
Hmm good thing we don't see any Heffalumps or Woozles, because now at least we know we're not dreaming!
Unfortunately, the BOOK isn't even set to hit shelves until 2015! Oh bother! We have to wait until then to read it?!
Brett and his partners are already on the hunt for others to develop this story right, so it might be a while until we see Finding Winnie up on the screen.
This news totally gives us some 100 Acre Wood in our pants!

Movie director Brett Ratner originally lost his dog Lucky and was freaking about it!
Not that we blame him or anything - we don't know what we'd do if we lost our pup!!!

Brett Ratner, the notorious filmmaker of all three "classic" Rush Hour films, is reportedly being heralded as the potential new director for the Justice League film.
How good is Ben Affleck looking right about now?
Although Ratner is only a name among a list of other directors in the running, including the Wachowski siblings, Warner Bros. studio is apparently very keen on Ratner and would absolutely want him behind the camera if he so desires.
Here's what a source said:

Tom Ford has teamed up with Brett Ratner and GLSEN to judge a contest of anti-bullying PSA's.
He's asking all aspiring filmmakers to submit their own Think Before You Speak video for a chance to win a trip to El Lay!
The winner will attend the annual GLSEN Respect Awards where their PSA will be screened and honored in front of top notch filmmakers. Brett will also give the winning PSA exposure through his social media outlets.
Tom says of the project:
“I am delighted to be working with GLSEN on this important and timely campaign to emphasize how powerful words can be and how crucial it is to think before you speak. I am excited to see the submissions from aspiring filmmakers around the world and look forward to picking the most compelling ones. This campaign creates a tremendous opportunity to help us all raise awareness of this issue.”
Very well said, Mr. Ford.
