Freedom of expression vs. cultural respect…
Ah, a timeless debate!
The above image of a woman in full Muslim dress (niquab & abaya) holding up a bra while doing laundry was SO offensive to some students at Thompson Rivers University in British Columbia, they asked a staff member to take it down!
The photo was

A lot of Hollywood stars prefer a wild trip to Las Vegas to celebrate their birthday, but not Justin Timberlake!
The engaged singer decided to round up his closest friends and fly to Fernie, British Columbia for a three day cat skiing adventure. JT and his posse carved up fresh powder on backcountry trails that can only be reached by a vehicle called a snowcat.
While staying in town at local resort Island Lake Lodge, the birthday boy stopped by a shop for some winter gear and told an employee he was "excited and looked forward to some cat skiing."
At just 31-years-old, it's crazy to think about how much this guy has accomplished in his lifetime! We're glad he had a blast during his winter wonderland retreat and wish him many, many more years of success!

Some of the world's direst oil (the same oil the recently denied Keystone XL Pipeline would have brought) is in the Alberta tar sands.
To bring this oil over land to reach refineries would threaten the Spirit Bear, a gorgeous and rare bear species.
Check out the above video to hear Kevin Bacon explain how the Spirit Bear could be threatened by this dirty oil.

Um… WHAT?
A tiny poodle survived a horrific fall after crash landing on the yard of a nursing home in Canada.
The dog was taken into the sky by an eagle trying to eat it. The dog (named May) must have fought it's way out of the bird's claws before taking the dive.
Doctors suspect May, who is about six years old, was a stray because her nails were overgrown and her teeth were severely decayed.
"We don’t know how long she had been wandering without care but she was obviously very neglected. It’s ironic, but this bird may have saved her life,"
British Columbia Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals manager Shannon Broderick said in a statement.
In other news: Who knew that eagles were so badass?

Truly so frightening! We are praying for everyone's safety.
While Hawaii and the North American west coast have been placed on tsunami advisories after an 8.9 magnitude earthquake struck Japan today, thousands have been evacuated all over the Pacific region - and that includes Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, and the cast of Breaking Dawn, who are currently filming in the Vancouver Island beach area of British Columbia!
Sources close to the production have revealed that although they aren't believed to be in any serious danger, everyone has been moved out of the vicinity as a precaution.
Seriously! Better safe than sorry when it comes to this sort of thing!
Our hearts go out to everyone affected by this horrible catastrophe. Stay strong, and more importantly, stay SAFE.
