Woman Sues Her 12-Year-Old Nephew After He Accidentally Broke Her Wrist… Four Years Ago At His Eighth Birthday Party?!
This story is a doozy…
Jennifer Connell, a 54-year-old human resources manager (because of course) is suing her 12-year-old nephew Sean Tarala for $127,000 after he accidentally broke her wrist while running to hug her at his birthday party… FOUR YEARS AGO.
On March 18, 2011, Connell arrived at then-8-year-old Sean's birthday party, and when the youngster saw his aunt, he ran to her and jumped into her arms to hug her, screaming "Auntie Jen, Auntie Jen!"
In the child's exuberant jump, Connell broke her wrist — an injury she says she didn't discuss at the time so as not to ruin the child's birthday party. But now, four and a half years later (!), she's apparently ready to discuss it… for a six figure payday.
According to court documents, Connell recounted the fateful day, saying:
