Remember when movie stars used to be movie stars and television stars were television stars? That's no longer the case because actors and actresses are now able to jump back and forth pretty regularly.

The latest big name to transition to television is Cuba Gooding Jr.! The Oscar-winner is preparing to star in a Fox legal drama called Guilty, which is created by the same people behind ABC's hit Brothers and Sisters.

So sad! We really wanted this to get at least get a few extra episodes for a proper send-off!

Although there was a chance that it was to be brought back for a reduced sixth season, the ABC drama Brothers & Sisters has officially been canceled, which means that Sunday's season finale will be its last episode.

The network also decided to axe the lizard alien-fest with Juliet from Lost, AKA V, as well as No Ordinary Family, Off the Map, Detroit 187 and Mr. Sunshine.

Such a shame! Well, it was good while it lasted!

We're not really sure - but Rachel Griffiths seems to think so.

Rachel, who has been with Brothers and Sisters since the beginning, sat down with an Australian news source this week and revealed that she could be out of a job fairly soon. Whether she was joking or not remains to be seen, but let's just take a look at exactly what she said. She told host Shane Bourne:

“I’m soon to be unemployed so I checked in with Centrelink and I don’t know if anybody’s noticed they’re cracking down on the whole welfare thing. So I went to see Centrelink and said, ‘Looks like I’m out of a job and wanna sign up.’ And they said, ‘You have to be looking for work.’ So I said I’m trying to direct a movie, and it’s all gone crazy. I looked them in the eye and said, ‘I think I am going to be unemployed,’ and they didn’t seem to be very warm.”

Now, how many times did she say unemployed in that rant? Too many! Sure, she wouldn't really be going out for welfare, but that doesn't mean that the context behind what she is saying isn't true. We're getting towards the start of the summer and the ABC drama still hasn't been renewed.

We think you guys should start to get nervous…

Calista Flockhart is still upset over the eating disorder rumors that plagued her in the late '90s while she was starring on the hit TV series, Ally McBeal.

Calistay says the gossip damaged her career because nobody wanted to work with someone who was rumored to have a problem.

She adds:

"I still weigh exactly what I did back then. I've always been thin. I have small bones. It (rumors of an eating disorder) was horrible, completely out of control. It didn't matter what I did, if I ordered food or not… I tried to ignore it, but I'm sure it was damaging to my career. I became depressed. I thought, 'Well, this can't help me get a job' - nobody wants to hire someone who has a problem."

Calista does have a very small body frame, but she is right - she's hardly changed over the years.

Although, we wouldn't argue too much with her success. She still stars on another hit TV series, Brothers and Sisters.

Okay, so he MAY not be Jeff Bridges everyone's favorite Bridges brother…but we're glad to hear he's getting work!

Beau Bridges will join ABC's Brothers & Sisters as a love interest for Sally Field during the upcoming season.

Previously, Sally and Beau starred together in the 1979 film Norma Rae.

Should be inneresting to see them on screen together once again, 32 years later!

With the 100th episode on the way, the producers of Brothers & Sisters have decided to bury the hatchet and bring back Balthazar Getty for the occasion.

And he won't be coming alone.

Sources say that Balthazar's character, Tommy, will return to the fold with a "crazy" new girlfriend.

Hmm. Wonder how Sally Field's gonna feel about that.
