#Kleanse Spotlight: 15-Year-Old Trisha Prabhu Develops An App That Looks To End Cyberbullying!

Filed under: InspirationTech TalkBullyingViral: KidsGirl Power

Trisha Prabhu is tackling cyberbullying head on!

It's hard to remember what exactly we we're doing when we were just 15 years old, but we're willing to wager it wasn't nearly as inspirational as this!!

With everyone connecting via social media sites like Facebook and Twitter, cyberbullying is a pretty huge issue these days — ESPECIALLY in high schools!

But Trisha Prabhu is doing everything she can to make the Internet a friendlier place with a little app she developed called ReThink!

By connecting to all of your social media apps on your mobile device, ReThink is able to keep track of any outgoing messages or possible posts and asks users to reconsider sending anything out if it detects harmful or offensive language!

As a high schooler, this issue clearly hit close to home for Trisha. But she says she was really inspired when she heard the story of a teen who took her own life after being the victim of cyberbullying:

"How can a girl younger than myself be pushed to take her own life? I was shocked, heartbroken and angry to learn about this incident and set out to find a long-term solution to cyberbullying. I knew I had to do something to stop this from ever happening again."

While not all victims claim their own lives, the numbers are pretty staggering when it comes to teens dealing with depression and anxiety due to cyberbullying.

Trisha goes on to say:

"Research shows that over 50% of adolescents online are cyberbullied, 38% suffer from suicidal tendencies. Victims suffer from depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem, and are afraid to go to school the following day."

The app is currently available on the Google Play store and should be available to Apple devices soon, but the early reviews are already great!

In fact, Trisha says ReThink users have reconsidered sending harmful messages about 93% of the time!

The 15-year-old has already won a handful of awards for her innovative app and she's rubbed shoulders with some pretty interesting people (above), and we have a feeling this wont be the last we hear from her!

These celebs won't let nasty body shamers get them down!

While being in the public eye can be a lot of fun because you get to travel and wear fabulous designer clothing, one MAJOR downfall can be all that damn scrutiny.

And nothing is more scrutinized by people than the way a person looks, more specifically what their body is looking like.

But Hollywood's hottest stars aren't putting up with the body shaming anymore! From beautifully bodied Demi Lovato to curved up Amber Rose, body shamers don't stand a chance!

This Radio Station's Caitlyn Jenner-Inspired Billboard Is About As Offensive As Possible

no title

This is unbelievably offensive.

Star 105 in Toledo, Ohio just proved how bigoted it is with its brand new Caitlyn Jenner-inspired billboard.

The ad features radio personality/terrible human Denny Schaffer recreating Caitlyn's iconic Vanity Fair cover telling people to "transition" to his station.

The sign goes on to say "and don't call me Caitlyn," so yeah, they're pretty awful people.

The billboard has since been taken down and the station is holding a contest for people to suggest other terrible ideas for signage, but we hope this news just makes them lose listeners.

What do U think about the controversial billboard??
