Florida Python Hunting Challenge Ends In Miserable Failure

burmese pyhton challenge epic failure web

After a month of hunting the Florida Everglades for Burmese pythons, the Python Challenge is coming to close…

And for most…it was a HUGE WASTE OF TIME!!!!

Only 50 pythons were killed for the event, as 1,500 hunters from 30 states and Canada ran wild thru the swamp and came up with nothing to show for it.

Which is pretty weird…considering there are 150,000 Burmese pythons in the Glades!

Thankfully, no one was injured while hunting but as these snakes have proven, Burmese pythons are quite evasive and GREAT at camouflage.

Oh well…better luck next year we guess…although we still wish there was a better way of doing this.

Just sayin….

The Hunt Continues For Pythons In Everglades

The month long Python Challenge is going strong, and while we still wish there was a more humane way of doing this, the environment will be rid of a few snakes.

As previously reported, Burmese pythons are (running?) slithering rampant through the Florida Everglades and the Python Challenge has asked Floridians to hunt down the snakes.

Burmese pythons are not native to Florida (or the Western Hemisphere for that matter) and the local ecosystem is suffering because of them.

Take a gander (above) at a special report behind the challenge.

Again…can't there be a more humane way of doing this!?!

HUGE Burmese Python Found In The Everglades

Unfortunately, the python was dead when it was discovered but it's the BIGGEST python found in the Everglades EVA!

A necropsy was performed on the gigantic, 17.5 foot python and the discoveries were simply CRAY-CRAY!!!

Scientists finds AT LEAST one bird as well as 87 oviductal eggs in the snake, beating the previous record by two.

The researchers hope that their findings will help them learn more on the invasive species.

CRAZZZZZZY!!!!!
