C-Sections May Be Fueling Obesity

C-Sections May Be Fueling Obesity

Um, this is bad news.

A new study suggests that young adults born via C-sections are more likely to be obese than those delivered vaginally.

However, the findings are controversial and scientists are still a ways from determining if C-sections are for sure increasing the chances of a child becoming obese. Scientists believe that there could be other factors involved.

C-sections might be ASSOCIATED with an increased chance of obesity, but may not be the actual CAUSE.

BUT, the researchers did find the association between C-sections and obesity, so they will continue research to figure out why.
