We tend to take our freedoms for granted in America. But imagine being arrested just for sending a text message.

Not a threat or bullying or even a dick pic- just a benign message of love.

Well, that's what Jean-Claude Roger Mbede is facing. After texting another man "I'm very much in love with you", he was imprisoned for 18 months.

Jean-Claude was only released on a provisional basis after equal rights activists protested his poor treatment. But now, sadly, the court has ruled he is to go back to prison to finish out his term. Jean-Claude says:

This is disgusting! The opposite of empowering women!

One our of every four girls in Cameroon is the victim of breast ironing, a procedure intended to flatten girls' breasts with a hot stone. Due to the lack of sex education in the country, mothers believe that it will stop unwanted pregnancies and allow their daughters to finish their education because they will no longer be perceived as sexual.

Breast ironing can cause serious issues such as burns, deformities and psychological damage.
