camille cosby testimony

Camille Cosby is staying silent.

On Monday, a partial transcript from Bill Cosby's wife's February 22 deposition was released, and it showed that she utilized her spousal privilege in order to dance around answering 98 questions in a defamation lawsuit against her husband. Oh man!

Initially, the TV producer tried to get out of testifying all together, but her motion was eventually shot down by a judge.

Camille Cosby Loses Last Ditch Attempt To Postpone Court Appearance & Is Still Set To Be Deposed

Bill's wife is going to court.

The day has finally come for Camille Cosby.

On Monday, Bill Cosby's wife is set to be deposed in court after a last ditch attempt on Saturday night to delay it once again.

U.S. District Judge Mark Mastroianni denied her emergency motion, as her lawyers stated that her court appearance "serves no purpose other than to harass and embarrass her."

Also according to her motion, she "has had no involvement with the facts or allegations underlying this case" and that her testimony would create "an unnecessary media circus and personal security threat."

In case you didn't know, seven women claim they were drugged and sexually assaulted by the actor, in which he called them liars.

Camille will be testifying in court in relation to their allegations, though as we previously reported, the 71-year-old can refuse to answer certain questions.

We will continue to update you with any more information.

Camille Cosby To Be Deposed In Bill Cosby’s Defamation Case — But With Limitations

Bill's wife will be deposed.

As we previously reported, Camille Cosby had been scheduled to be deposed on January 6 in the defamation case against her husband, Bill Cosby.

The 71-year-old was granted a delay, but despite the appeal from the actor, a judge ordered on Thursday that she will be deposed, but can refuse to answer some specific questions.

In case you didn't know, seven women claim they were drugged and sexually assaulted by the actor, in which he called them liars.

U.S. District Judge Mark Mastroianni wrote of his decision:

"This is a difficult issue as there is very little authority directly on the subject. The court concludes that the marital disqualification rule does apply to deposition testimony. Deponent, when appropriate, may refuse to answer deposition questions which call for testimony prohibited by the rule and not falling within an exception. The court will not quash the deposition subpoena and will not issue a formal protective order."

The deposition is still scheduled for February 22.

Cosby's team has since responded to the news, with spokesman Andrew Wyatt saying:

Camille Cosby isn't off the hook!

While Camille was recently granted a delay in her deposition, a judge ordered that Bill Cosby's wife MUST be deposed on February 22. Cosby will be asked questions regarding Bill's defamation lawsuit filed by seven different women.

For those who don't know, the women are fighting back against the comedian after he called them liars over their allegations of sexual assault. Even though B.C. has countersued, the case is still moving forward.

Essentially, the alleged victims want a judge to force Camille to answer questions about the actor's non-martial sexual partners and the dates of those encounters since 1968. The group believes Mrs. Cosby has vital information to their cases.

The mother originally appealed the request citing she's protected by Massachusetts' spousal disqualification rule which allows conversations between spouses to remain private. A judge has since denied that request.

Now that Camille will be deposed on February 22, Bill's deposition has been moved to the following month.

We're VERY curious to hear what she has to say!

Bill Cosby Gets A Small Victory! A Judge Has Agreed To Delay His Wife's Deposition!

The judge says it's her legal right to appeal.

Bill Cosby is probably breathing a sigh of relief… for now, anyway.

On Tuesday, Judge David Hennessy granted the emergency motion to delay Camille Cosby's deposition in her husband's defamation case.

The 71-year-old's questioning was initially scheduled for Wednesday, but the U.S. Magistrate has ruled that it will be put off until after attorneys have had a chance to appeal his previous decision that ordered her to partake in the under-oath interview.

He wrote:

"It would not serve (and in fact would offend) the 'interest of justice' for this court to deny the motion for a stay, and thereby effectively deny Mrs. Cosby any right to appeal. In fairness then Mrs. Cosby's deposition shall be stayed [postponed] pending her appeal."

The deposition of the scandalized star's wife was requested in a civil case in which seven women claim that the actor drugged and sexually assaulted them.

The accusers' lawyer, Joseph Cammarata, is not concerned that he'll lose the appeal, telling People:

Camille Cosby Remains Very Committed To Bill Cosby Despite His Felony Sexual Assault Charge

Camille Cosby continues to pull the wool over her eyes!

Just a week after Bill Cosby was charged with felony sexual assault, insiders have come forward to reveal that his wife Camille is still supportive. In fact, Mrs. Cosby has no intentions of leaving her scandalized husband!

A source said of the confusing situation:

"They remain steadfast and resolute about working through this together. They have every intention of reclaiming their dignity and their name."

Hmm, maybe this is why C.C. is vigorously fighting a deposition in which she has to testify whether or not she provided the comedian with quaaludes used to sedate his alleged victims. It's clear the 71-year-old will do anything she can to protect her partner even if it means dodging the courts.

Also, we find it increasingly unlikely that the Cosbys will be able to reclaim their "dignity" considering the recent charge and insane amount of alleged victims in this horrific saga. The duo are losing supporters by the minute!

We guess we'll have to wait and see whether or not Camille actually testifies and how this will influence their marriage!

Whoopi Goldberg, Raven-Symoné, & The Rest Of The View Share Their Thoughts On The Bill Cosby Arrest!

Just because 2015 came to an end does not mean its scandals are over!

It's may be a new year, but the Bill Cosby controversy is as heated as ever now that he's been arrested for a sexual assault that took place 11.5 years ago — narrowly fitting into Pennsylvania's 12 year statute of limitation.

And with the case getting even more attention due to as many as 50 women wanting to testify against him, things started to get a bit confusing when the women of The View started addressing Bill's arraignment and Camille Cosby's deposition.

Luckily, CNN legal analyst Sunny Hostin was part of the panel on Monday and was able to explain the upcoming trial more clearly to her cohosts… and she actually made the whole thing much more understandable.

In addition to Sunny's legal take on the arrest, Whoopi Goldberg was the most vocal about the fate of Bill Cosby.

The comedian — who infamously came under fire for defending Cosby when his accusers first started coming forward — would only go so far as neutral, saying:
