We know everyone is just so excited for the Hunger Games!
So here's something inneresting…
Elizabeth Banks loved playing Effie Trinket except when it came to one thing - the costumes!
Though Effie is known for her avant-garde fashions, those beautiful ensembles came with a price — comfort.
Working alongside head designer Judianna Makovsky, Elizabeth helped create the Capitol couture, but she says of it:
"We’ve worked together before, and she just really knew my body and knew how to hang clothes on it. Everything was made for me.
[But] They [were] all torture.
My favorite costume is when we’re watching the result show, and I’m in the big green [dress with] poufy sleeves. I love that outfit; it was the most comfortable.”
Well, like they say, sometimes beauty isn't cheap!
But we know her overall experience was remarkable. And honestly, half the reason we're excited to see the movie is for those clothes. So we're happy to say her torture wasn't in vain!
