Aww! This kind of sucks!

Tina Fey recently revealed that when her smash series, 30 Rock, returns from its winter hiatus, Matt Damon and his HIGHlarious character, Carol, will be returning - but only so he and Liz Lemon can split!

She explains:

“We are going to break up. It had to happen because he has to go make movies.”

Boo!

We knew that this would eventually have to happen, but we're still bummed!

At least we'll get one more episode's worth of him, though!

Thank goodness they're bringing him back!

We were going to be seriously upset if they set up that storyline in the finale and he never returned!

Sherri Shepherd, who plays the HIGHlarious Angie on 30 Rock, revealed via Twitter that Matt Damon will be reprising his role as the pilot Carol on Tina Fey's smash series!

She wrote:

OMG!! I'm on set @30 Rock next to Tina Fey & MATT DAMON is sitting behind me! I went over & said hi - think I just got pregnant! Jamal Damon

Everybody's here on 30 Rock! Just passed @the realkeithpowell & Judah Friedlander & got a scene w Chris Parnell - whewww this is fun! ACTION"

This is awesome, awesome news!

Hopefully he'll stick around for more than one episode!

We LOVED he and Liz together!

Not as much as Wesley Snipes, though! LOLs!
