While most Hollywood marriages are on the brink of disaster before the honeymoon even begins, Carrie Underwood's marriage to NHL player Mike Fisher is proving to be a pleasant exception.

The singer, who performed this past weekend in Las Vegas during the iHeartRadio Music Festival, says despite warnings of rough patches from friends or family, things are going great!

"Everyone says the first month is the hardest, or the fourth month or the eighth month," she told sources. "We're just enjoying it."

She called the Vegas festival one highlight of an "amazing" year, but says the biggest highlight was getting to spend quality time with her husband of over a year, explaining:

"You never really get to stop and smell the roses and really enjoy just being a person. When you get to reflect on everything, it's really nice and I've had that chance this year."

Yay! We're so happy for them and wish them many, many more years of enjoying each other's company!
