So when we saw this story about a Michigan middle school football team who gave one of their teammates a moment he’ll never forget, we smiled.
Then we cried. Like, a lot.
This season, the players at Olivet Middle School decided to go behind their coaches’ backs to come up with one AH-Mazing play on the field.
One that would give their teammate Keith Orr his first career touchdown!
Keith is learning disable and struggles with boundaries, most evident when you see how he insists on hugging everyone around him!
A kid like Keith might be picked on by his fellow students at any other school. But not at Olivet.
On a rushing play 18 yards away from the end zone, one of Olivet’s rushers ran the ball down virtually untouched and then stopped…just shy of the goal line. Because the next yard, belonged to Keith.
