This sounds like something out of a horror story but it's true…

In Central Park in NYC, snakehead fish sightings have been on the rise near Harlem Meer.

The snakehead is a total monster because they can grow to three feet long, have big, sharp teeth and can survive outside of water for days!!

Yup! That means you aren't safe anywhere!

The New York Department of Environmental Conservation issued a statement that literally said:

Lea Michele loves horses! Which is why she always says neigh to horse-drawn carriage rides.

She said:

“The one thing I find the least romantic is taking a horse and carriage ride. I can’t express enough how unhappy these horses are and how much pain and suffering they go through each day. Please do not ride [in horse-drawn carriages]. Take a beautiful walk together with your loved ones instead of bringing more pain to these beautiful animals.”

We absolutely agree. The horses in Central Park look downright miserable, and we can't imagine it is fun for them to walk around on the hard street all day.

But we are curious - what is Lea doing on her Valentines Day?

Neil Patrick Harris may be gearing up to host the 2012 Tony Awards tonight, but he certainly didn't let his responsibility for that get in the way of spending some quality time with his fiance and children at the Central Park Zoo yesterday afternoon in New York City!

The adorable pair were spotted with their twins, Gideon Scott and Harper Grace, getting to know some animal friends, like the friendly sea lions in the park's exhibit!

Lea Michele has really been championing the cause calling for the ban of carriage horses in NYC.

She's directly addressed Mayor Bloomberg several times, attempting to sway him.

She tweeted:

"Please tweet to @MikeBloomberg if you agree that horse and carriages should no longer be on the busy streets of NYC. And let’s end this."

Then she later wrote:

"@MikeBloomberg please listen to the thousands of people who are saying that they no longer want horse & carriage rides in this city."

Those poor horses forced to work hard during the harsh New York winter really had Lea upset. So upset she might have to do something drastic.

She wrote:

"New York, u know how much I love you. But if I see another horse & carriage struggling in this winter weather I may not be able 2 be here."

Oh man. C'mon New York. If you want your Lea Michele back, you're gonna have to get on the no horse carriage bandwagon.

It's only been a few weeks since we mentioned that the gay penguin couple in Canada were going to be separated for mating season.

Well there's a pair of gay penguins in China and their keepers are handling the situation much differently.

They've given the pair a baby to care for!

There's a penguin mother who had twins and was struggling to care for them so they're giving the penguins one of the recently hatched babies.

Male penguins make great daddies, normally helping to raise chicks as much as the mother, and this pair has in past mating seasons tried to steal eggs.

They really wanted to be daddies.

They're similar to a couple in New York's Central Park Zoo where another gay penguin couple was given a rejected egg to care for after they tried to hatch a rock!

Canada should take a page out of China's book once their gay penguins are reunited after mating season.

Let them be gay! They were born that way!

We don't know who looks cuter! Him or the pooch!

Looks as though Chuck Bass is making a new dog friend on the upcoming season of Gossip Girl, because Ed Westwick was spotted in full-character walking one ADORABLE looking little guy around Central Park Wednesday, while shooting a scene for the CW drama!

Ooh! Maybe this means he'll be getting his act together this time!

You can't take care of a pet unless you can take care of yourself!

Well - we hope so, anyway! Fingers crossed!
