Hmm…decisions, decisions!
Although it hasn't been confirmed, everyone pretty much knows that Katie Couric will be leaving her position as the anchor for CBS Evening News once her five-year contract expires in June, and no one seems particularly certain on who is going to succeed her!
According to sources close to the situation, chairman Jeff Fager is looking at potentials both inside and outside of the network, although the biggest contender at this point is veteran 60 Minutes correspondent Scott Pelley!
Fager has apparently been favoring the newsman since Couric began contemplating the move, but apparently the position is not set in stone, because network execs may want to see someone with more celebrity than him to boost ratings!
Inneresting - especially because that's why they brought Couric in the first place, and yet the ratings still didn't pick up! Makes us think that maybe Fager should go with his gut and pick Pelley!
Who do U think should take over for Couric?? Scott Pelley or someone else?
