Taylor Swift: Country Queen Or Pop Superstarlet?

taylor-swift-simultaneous-charting-begin-again-country-i-knew-you-were-trouble-top-40

It was the best of times, it was the worst of best of times!

These days, it seems like Taylor Swift's only real competition is… Taylor Swift!

If T-Swizzle the pop star and Swifty and the country legend mud-wrestled each other, who are you putting money on?!

It doesn't matter because they're BOTH winners!

While Taylor's dubtastic I Knew You Were Trouble sits pretty atop Billboard's Top 40 chart for the sixth week in a row, her newish single, Begin Again, just climbed to #1 on the country charts, too!

Inconceivable!! Our golden gal is the Queen of ALL things musical!!

No wonder why she devoured Harry Styles, Ed Sheeran, and Tom Odell like a sumo-wrestler terrorizing a Las Vegas seafood buffet — Taylor endless supply of hits is fueled by her constant heartache!

She's torturing herself to write sweet singles!!

DanRad Will Be The Cripple Next Summer

Daniel Radcliffe West End Return The Cripple Of Inishmaan

From fantasy to drama to horror and now comedy, Daniel Radcliffe really is a man for all seasons!

The Michael Grandage Company unveiled its 2013 theatre lineup and DanRad will spend 12 weeks next summer as The Cripple of Inishmaan!

Oooh! Exciting!

In the stage comedy, the Hogwarts alumnus plays a disabled orphan stuck in a small town who desires nothing more than to make it off his tiny island and succeed in business without even trying as a star in Hollywood!!

Hmmm. It almost sounds like a HIGHlarious Charles Dickens rewrite of Billy Elliot, LOLz!!

Martin McDonagh's play was a HUGE West End hit in the 1990s and we’re confident this revival will be a success!!

Google Sells E-Books Now!

google opens online ebookstore

Are hardcover copies of the collective works of Charles Dickens, William Shakespeare, and Stephenie Meyer taking up too much space in your room? Looks like Google's got a solution!

In an effort to compete with Amazon and every bookstore in the world, Google has launched Google eBooks, which will feature hundreds of thousands of titles that you can read on your computer, as well as many tablets, smartphones, and other devices.

Here's what director of strategic partnerships at Google, Tom Turvey, had to say about the new venture:

"Publishers want more competition in the marketplace, and we already have a big investment. We're trying to extend the value of content that exists in the world by enabling people to find it and buy it."

We're interested to see how this plays out, but we're a bit concerned. Is Google still going to let us search for the Barnes and Noble website? How about Borders? They're getting PRET-TY powerful!

Will U pick up eBooks on Google?

Oprah Kicks It Back Old Skool For New Book Club Selections

oprah-winfrey-chooses-charles-dickens-classics-for-book-club.jpg

Ladies, we don't think you'll have any trouble getting your hands on Oprah Winfrey's latest picks for the book club, but we'll be rather shocked if you haven't at least read one of them already.

According to sources, Oprah's choices for her next book club reads are two Charles Dickens classics, A Tale of Two Cities and Great Expectations. Because the stories are being stamped with Oprah's approval, a new single bound book is being released containing both stories for $20.

Course, if you strapped for cash or want to save a tree, you can download the electronic version. In fact, Amazon has Great Expectations for free for the Kindle!

It's been a long time since we've sat down with these two stories. Maybe it is time to revisit them.

Think U might jump on Oprah's bandwagon and read some of the classics?
