At first glance we thought this looked good but then we came to our senses.

Chelsea Handler usually sticks to tailored slacks or LBDs on the red carpet (save the occasional column gown for fancier affairs), but we don't think we've EVER seen her in sparkles.

So, it's kind of hard to digest this embellished lace Carolina Herrera knee-length number that the comedian wore to EIF's 16th Annual Women's Cancer Research Fund benefit in Beverly Hills on Thursday.

It just looks SO out of place on Chelsea, and the clunky, lucite-heeled pumps and stick-straight, boring hair don't help either!

Let this be a lesson to the 38-year-old: stay away from sparkles.

Everything on the Chelsea Lately show is silly, so seeing her little nugget, Chuy, all dressed up was no surprise.

Victoria’s Secret Angel Alessandra Ambrosio was on Wednesday’s show and Chuy decided to dress up like her. The little guy tweeted out this pic (above), saying:

Tonight @AngelAlessandra made me wear a bra on @chelsealately

And we’re reminded why only a few of the beautiful people are allowed to really be Angels. LOLz!

At least it’s good for a laugh, and is something we hope we never see again.

A newly single Chelsea Handler let New York City know she was back on the market at Glamour's Women of the Year Awards.

The Chelsea Lately hostess showed off her assets in a body hugging Stella McCartney jumpsuit and black strappy sandals.
