It's the most wonderful time of the year for musicians waiting to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!
On Monday, the prestigious institution officially announced next year's inductees.
Pearl Jam, Tupac Shakur, Journey, Yes, Electric Light Orchestra, and Joan Baez will all join the class of 2017!
The induction ceremony will be held at Brooklyn's Barclays Center on April 7th, 2017 — an edited version will later air on HBO.
Aside from the standard inductees, Chic's Nile Rodgers will be given the Award For Musical Excellence.
Artists are eligible for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25 years after the release of their first album or single.
2017 marks the first year Pearl Jam and Tupac were eligible. They are also the first artists to join the Hall of Fame whose careers started in the ‘90s.
Well, now we just feel old!
Tickets go on sale to the induction ceremony in January. A big congrats to all the talented artists who will go to live on in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!
