Wouldn't this technically just be Order?
Case in point: NBC just went ahead and ordered eight episodes of Law & Order: True Crime on Wednesday!
The anthology series that totally isn't just a ripoff of Ryan Murphy's O.J. Simpson trial recreation will follow the case of Erik and Kyle Menendez, who were found guilty of murdering their parents back in 1996.
What's strange about this news is that L&O is strictly a procedural, so we're not sure how well the Peacock Network is going to do having to write one overarching plotline…
Plus, how is a story set in the '90s going to factor in to Dick Wolf's modern day universe of shows; which already includes Law & Order: SVU, Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., Chicago Med, and the upcoming Chicago Law?
With that said, we always love us some Dick, so we're cool with whatever he wants to shove down our throats.
Will U be tuning in for Law & Order: True Crime in 2017??
